8-4 last year, just missing out on a playoff chance. The 2021 Champs are looking to their name back to glory in 2023.

QB – Jakeb Sullivan is back for another year. The 2021 championship game MVP looks to build on a year where he was 4th in yards, and 3rd in TDs with 31. This South Dakota product was the D-II quarterback of the year in 2018. Look for him to build up some steam for a long playoff run.

Rb – They were middle of the pack in rushing last year and are bringing back their leading rusher Thomas Fischbach after an OK year last year. He averaged about four yards a carry, but look for him to get above 500 yards this year.

WR- Reece Horn is the name you need to watch out for. The former University of Indianapolis player who tried out for multiple teams put up 11 TD’s and over 680 yards in just 8 games last year. Those 11 touchdowns were good for 6th in the league! My sleeper in this offense is Lorenz Regler. The 6’3 wideout with great hands should be a great second option for this team.

O-Line – They lose their first team all-star center Joachim Christensen to the Rhein Fire, but still have Sven Fischer who will most likely take over the center position. Fischer was a second team all-star at guard last year but will move where the team needs him. The Galaxy will also have Yannic Kiehl back, a 2021 all-star at Tackle. Their big signing this year will be Danijel Miletus, a German born player, who was playing at Division-I Virginia Tech. He will be the major key for this offense and moving the ball. A team that was middle tier in the running game last year will look to make strides into the top 3 this year.

Defense – This team was 4th overall in defense and I expect them to continue to be one of the best.

D-line – The D-line adds Moubarak Djeri, a west African import who spent some time in training camp with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018. They also bring back Karlis Brauns who had 8 sacks in 2022. A good defense last year, should be solid this year as well.

Linebackers- Wael Nasri was top 20 in tackles last year and will be back this year. They cut Sebastian Gauthier in 2022, but are bringing him back this year. This Swedish product was a beast in 2021 with 6 sacks, 84 tackles and 18 tackles for loss. It will be interesting to see if he can come back from injury and play at a high level again. Be on the lookout for Sebastian Silva Gomez to make a splash for the team this year.

DB’s – The Galaxy re-signed 1st team all-star Karin Ben Al Ghali at Cornerback and if that wasn’t enough, they signed two huge American imports. First, LaMalcolm Jennings, a former Philadelphia Eagle and CFL player, played toward the end of the season for the Raiders Tirol team last year. He should bolster an already star-studded defense. The Galaxy just kept making moves this offseason and signed former Division-I footballer BerDale Robins out of the University of Nevada. Robins and Jennings paired with Ben Al Ghali make for a lethal combo.

I think the Frankfurt Galaxy win it all this year, I’m dead serious. They have great players at every position and their defense looks ready for a big year. My big questions for them would be defensive line play and running back. They have some good players, but not the best at those positions. Look for Tony Andersen in the defensive backfield to possibly take some snaps away from the Americans and the former all-star. That’s my sleeper. If he steps up then this defensive backfield could be the best of all time in this league.
