3-9 last year and their Head Coach recently resigned. Not the look you want coming into a new season.

QB – Daniel Smith – After losing 2021 all-star Jan Weinrich, Daniel Smith a three-year starter at Villanova, will look to take over the reins. He’s had some arm injury problems in the past, but he proved himself worthy of the European leagues last year in the German league. We’ll see what happens this year.

Rb – The worst rushing attack in the league last year, this is an area they need vast improvement in. They were reported to have signed Tre King an explosive young RB out of Texas Tech but he has since signed with the Tulsa Oilers in America. So, it looks like the older Dean Tanwani will lead this ship into 2023.

WR – This offense was 1st last year almost strictly because of their passing game, but things have changed in a big way. The Centurions will need to have some people really step up. Losing second team all-star Quentin Pounds this year to the Mexican League may hurt them greatly, but they have some players looking to step in. They picked up Terryon Robinson who played for the now defunct Istanbul rams last year, and finished 8th in yards in a short amount of time. He will be their Centurion (had to look up what that was). Look for some extra production from Kris Wedderburn or Aril Rwantambura – players from last year that are looking to make a jump.

O-Line – Now I’ll admit, the O-Line is the toughest part for me to research on these teams, but seeing how they were last in the league in rushing last year, this must get better. They added two new foreign players (Rares Gheorgiu and Carlos Carrasco). We’ll see what they can do, but an area to pay attention to.

D-Line – This defense was shit last year, let’s be honest. Second to last in yards allowed and TD’s allowed. No all-stars, the team needs help. They resigned four defensive lineman: Boes, Cerimagic, Brielle, and Ziebarth. I don’t love that considering they didn’t do much, but we’ll see if they can get better. They did however add Chris Richardson a defensive tackle out of UTEP, who should strengthen their front. He was an all-conference USA honorable mention. They will need him to step up.

LB’s- Marius Kenny was second on the team in tackles and will look to build on last season at ILB. Their latest signing is Zachary Blair. Blair was a first team all-star last year for the Istanbul Rams and an absolute disruptor on this side of the ball. He is second all-time in the EFL in tackles and also adds a boost on special teams.

CB- Team full of Utep Miners- Kalon Beverly, formerly of the CFL and a practice player with the Bills, will be starting at CB for the team. Look for the Miner connection (Chris Richardson) to be strong on D. Hungry dog alert: Chad Walrond- was cut last year by the Istanbul Rams and will look to revenge that this year. He should be ready to prove himself.

Overall, this team seems young. I like their addition on the D-line but I’m not sure it’s enough. I think they’ll probably struggle with a new QB and new WR’s resulting in another disappointing year.
