Aaron Boone has once again completely botched a game. Nestor “The Molester” Cortes in the bottom of the tenth against the top of the order when he hasn’t pitched in a month? I’ve seen some bad managerial decisions in my days, Grady Little I’m looking at you, but Aaron Boone might have topped them all. Let’s put it this way, if an intruder had come into your house and you had to grab a weapon from your closet, would you grab the semi-automatic rifle or the rusty old BB gun you got for your 12th birthday? Aaron Boone chose the rusty old BB gun and, unfortunately, he used it on one of the scariest intruders we’ve ever seen. But could you believe it, he actually wounded that giant Ohtani, however, there’s still two intruders behind him. Mookie Betts is next and he’s not a very intimidating intruder this time of year, picture him as the young kid they roped along with them because he saw them rob someone else. Mookie is batting .255 in his career in the postseason and has had countless failures in big at bats in October. Well, Boone decides to let that kid go because he thought he was cute or something, walking the bases loaded for the last intruder.

Now, Freddie Freeman steps up who’s been hobbled as of late, but that doesn’t make him any less intimidating. Freeman’s stats with the bases loaded against lefty’s, which your rusty BB gun is, are 9 for 14 with four homeruns and 25 RBI’s. Not exactly good stats for the father of this household, but Boone loads up that BB gun and fires one right at the heart of the intruder. Right on target, but what is this? The intruder caught it, ate it and spit it out faster than it came at him, right between the eyes of Aaron Boone killing him and possibly the Yankees in this World Series. As he’s dying, Boone had to think of that semi-automatic, Tim Hill, he left in the closet. Tim Hill had let up 0 earned runs in his last 4 appearances with absolutely electric stuff. But the clumsy Boone just had to go with what he thought he knew, nothing new for one of the worst managers I’ve ever seen.
